The Gorgeous View
For "The Gorgeous View" Project - We constructed a wooden deck structure with a steel support structure for the cantilevered sitting area, installed aluminum decking and railings, as well as fabricated a stainless steel handrail on-site for the concrete stairs leading down to the water.
The steel structure was fabricated on-site to support the cantilevered wooden deck structure. The wooden structure and stairs stringers were fabricated and assembled on site. The aluminum decking was secured to the structure and then the aluminum rails were installed. The clay-colored aluminum railings blend in nicely with the colours of the home and do not take away from the beautiful environment. Beveled pickets were used along most of the deck with an accent of glass panels along the cantilevered sitting area. Having the glass panel rails along the sitting area creates a barrier to protect from the wind, while also ensuring the gorgeous view remains unobstructed. Once the decking was completed, over 100 linear feet of stainless-steel handrail was fabricated on-site and installed on the concrete staircase leading down to the waterfront.
